LUNIS

After losing her parents to the long-term effects of artificial light, Lunis—an orphan in a decaying steampunk city adapted to darkness—uncovers a strange mechanical flower hidden in her father’s lab. When it emits a beam that cracks the sky, she becomes the target of a regime determined to keep the world in the dark.

Created a year ago during the early wave of AI video generation. Experimented with tools like Pika and Runway to animate static images originally generated in MidJourney.

After further exploration in AI and refining the visual direction, I reworked the video trailer to better capture the essence of the story—dark, mysterious, and influenced by silhouette animation, drawing inspiration from The Adventures of Prince Achmed. In addition to MidJourney, new tools were used, including OpenAI for animation and Suno for the original music composition.

Lunis is a personal project rooted in a recurring dream from my childhood—one I always imagined as a film or video game. I developed it into a narrative world with influences from steampunk and The City of Lost Children, using Runway and MidJourney to visualize its tone and atmosphere.
